How to get your LinkedIn profile noticed in one click

Building a complete and meaningful LinkedIn profile is important, but what's the point if no-one takes a look? Below is a surprisingly easy way to get consultants to check out your profile on LinkedIn.

Simple: click on theirs!

Thanks to LinkedIn's invasive policy of showing you the names and/or titles of people who have clicked on your profile, they'll see that you've viewed their profile. It's not uncommon to have a complete stranger take a look at your profile after you've looked at theirs. Helpful: Having a professional photo with a meaningful "header" (e.g. Master's student at LBS). Slightly less helpful: Picture of you in a bikini. Substantially less helpful: No title whatsoever.
